Founder & Owner
Kayla has had a love for all things magic since she was a little girl. Though her education and career path have lead her to many different places, she feels most at home at The Enchanted Garden where she is able to make dreams come true for both the young and young at heart.
Kayla has a background in Animal Science from the College of Agriculture, but always made sure the arts were a large part of her life. While attending university, she taught private voice lessons to children and adults for 5 years. Singing has been a major influence on Kayla's life, with a passion for classical music. She continues to study with her voice teacher of 16 years to ensure her vocal ability remains consistent and healthy.
In 2014, Kayla joined the team of princesses at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, where she found a love of character performing when she was not attending classes or working her weekday job. She eventually became the princess wardrobe manager, and together with her fellow managers planned the Under the Sea Enchantment in 2016, a charity ball that raised over $7,000 for the Saskatoon Crisis Nursery.
When Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo decided to close its doors later that year, Kayla wanted the magic of the princesses to live on. She was able to see the positive impact the princesses had within the community, and decided to make the leap of faith, trust, and pixie dust to begin her own magical journey, and The Enchanted Garden Character Co. was born.
Kayla's vision for The Enchanted Garden Character Co. is to provide the highest quality character entertainment possible. She has hand selected her team members for their experience in performing, working with children, professionalism, and willingness to volunteer their time for worthy causes such as hospital visits. Being positive role models in the City of Saskatoon is of the utmost importance to Kayla and her team.
